After Pawan Singh and Upendra Rawat, the clouds of trouble have deepened over BJP’s another Lok Sabha candidate Saket Mishra. After making him the candidate from Shravasti Lok Sabha constituency, opposition has started against him in his own Lok Sabha constituency. BJP workers allege that Saket Mishra is a parachute candidate and has never been active in the Lok Sabha. In such a situation, he should not be made a candidate from Shravasti Lok Sabha seat. However, the district unit of BJP has claimed that those opposing Saket Mishra were not its workers. Before this, BJP’s Asansol candidate Pawan Singh and Barabanki MP Upendra Rawat had returned their tickets. This had created an uncomfortable situation for the BJP.
Saket Mishra is the son of former public servant Nripendra Mishra, close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nripendra Mishra is currently holding an important post in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. His role has been very important in the construction of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya. It is believed that Saket Mishra got the Lok Sabha ticket only because of Nripendra Mishra. At the time of elections, the discussion about Nripendra Mishra’s relationship with Mulayam Singh has also intensified.
Saket Mishra was also trying to get a ticket from Shravasti Lok Sabha constituency in 2019, but the party did not give him the ticket. But this time after the construction of Ram temple, Saket Mishra’s luck opened and he got the Lok Sabha ticket from BJP. Saket Mishra, a former investment banker, has also been a member of the Purvanchal Development Board, whose role is considered important in the development of Purvanchal.
